Bienville is a very nice hotel, staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only con is the pool is very small, so if you decide to relax by the pool think twice.

Very nice staff and on-site valet parking (not free). Clean rooms but not great water pressure in showers but not bad for an older building. Location is great, short walk to water front, Jackson square, bourbon street, and much more.

Cute little place. Shout out to Cynthia and the other hotel staff who went beyond expectations to take care of us.
The location on the edge of the Quarter was quiet and convenient.

I love this hotel. Have stayed here 3 or 4 times. It's a boutique hotel in a great location. Quiet rooms. Very friendly staff. I always get the rooms that have outdoor tables/chairs to have coffee or drinks at.

We had and excellent stay here. The hotel is in the French Quarter close enough to areas of interest but not too close to the nighttime noise of Bourbon St. The front desk staff were awesome regardless of the time of day. Rasheed went above and beyond several times during our stay and made us feel at home. Our room was clean with a nice bathroom and super comfortable bed. My only criticism would be the noise from a nearby train that comes through in the middle of the night. This is minimal compared to the noise from other placed in the French Quarter. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I have stayed here two times! The hotel is historically beautiful, well maintained and the customer service is superb! The location is second to none! This boutique hotel is located in the French Quarter and Jackson Square!!! You’re minutes away from shopping and dining!!! We will definitely be back!!

We eloped in New Orleans in February 2024 and we could not have picked a better place to stay. It was convenient to everything in the French Quarter, we felt safe in that area, the rooms are historic and are full of character. We slept well every night and the staff are the reason that our stay was absolutely perfect! Ms. Beverly and Ms. Cynthia have never met a stranger. The doormen were also very wonderful in all of our interactions. Everyone greeted us a with a smile and a brief conversation and Ms. Beverly went above and beyond for us, knowing our reason for the stay. We will be back for an anniversary trip and hope to see each of them again!

Absolutely loved our stay at Bienville House this past November! Super convenient location with walkability to everything in the French Quarter. Loved the historic atmosphere. Will stay here again on our next visit to NOLA. :)

You can't ask for a better location in the French Quarter. The staff are wonderful, and they get to know each guest. The doormen/bellmen are funny and friendly and everyone on staff has been extremely nice. The sundeck room was great for us. It's an old historic hotel so you'll find some things like chipped marble and stains in the elevator, but overall it was very clean and well maintained. It's in a safe area and you can quickly walk all around the French Quarter. We didn't try the onsite bar/restaurant because the menu wasn't to our liking, but there's great food within a block in each direction. I definitely recommend this hotel ????

What a great Hotel, the staff are excellent, very attentive, they have ice water all the time. There is parking for 44$ a day, which might seem a lot, but you are right in the thick of it. Couple blocks from everything.
Strongly recommend.

I was traveling for business and was so grateful to Cynthia for providing me an early check-in with late notice. The windowless room was quiet and a perfect respite from a busy conference. The room was clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. SO glad I stayed with Bienville, and not at the Crown... A lot of conference goers were severely disappointed with their accommodations.

We enjoyed our stay at Bienville House so much! Every employee we came in contact with was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Adrience and Cynthia always greeted us with a smile and a “Welcome back” and went above and beyond to meet our needs. The on-site valet parking was one of our main reasons for choosing Bienville House and it did not disappoint. The location was also one of our deciding factors and it was perfect for us. It’s on the outer edge of the French Quarter but a very easy walk to everything in the Quarter without the noise. We especially enjoyed being close to the waterfront and Jackson Square. We stayed in one of the Sundeck rooms which was very charming and comfortable. We didn’t get to use the sun deck because of the weather but it would be a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. Overall, we will definitely stay at Bienville House again when we return to NOLA.

Room 403 water pressure is the worst ever... Also, this doesn't seem to have been one of the rooms renovated in the last few years... Decor is very dated, and noisy even while on the top floor.

Doing others the favor of a real review.
This hotel is nice, it's in a good location and the staff was friendly and lovely through every single interaction.
Our issue was with the room- we upgraded to a balcony which unfortunately is on the back side of the building, closest to a train track that has trains running all night and blowing their horns EXTREMELY loudly (I heard it through my earplugs when it woke me up). The room itself had a broken thermostat, we requested maintenance who did come to check it and it was better for one night and then went back to not working. We learned that the entire building hasn't been upgraded and the whole thing has to be set to cool or hot.. we were so miserable not being able to move it below 70 all trip.
Our bed also had the fire alarm inconveniently placed directly above the bed and it blinked EVERY 15 seconds. It was very bright, distracting and hard to sleep. The pillows are terrible.
If you have no issues sleeping, perhaps this is a good place, it was not up to our liking. I did love the bathroom though- they have the older counters with space for all my toiletries!
I wont be returning here unfortunately. After multiple trips to NOLA, the nicest hotels are in the CBD, much newer with actual comfortable rooms!

I had the pleasure of visiting New Orleans in December with our Italian exchange student. It had been a dream of his to travel to NOLA and I am thrilled we chose to stay at Bienville House. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Everything about it was perfect.
Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, Bienville House was conveniently located to everything we wanted to see and do.
Our room was incredibly clean and styled in the beautiful New Orleans aesthetic. The rainfall showerhead in the bathroom was a luxurious touch.
Relaxing in the pool was one of our favorite things to do during our stay. The ambiance makes you feel like you are in Europe, and the water is the perfect temperature. Make sure to bring your bathing suit!
Our stay surpassed all expectations, thanks to its impeccable service, charming ambiance, and prime location. Whether you're visiting New Orleans for business or leisure, I highly recommend booking this hotel. I will choose this hotel, without a doubt, the next time I visit New Orleans.
