Located in a quieter section of the French Quarter. The main entrance faces Chartres St but it is actually most of an entire square block with rooms also facing Decatur St, the side that is the French Market. The building that faces Decatur also has rooms and also a restaurant called French Toast and can be accessed from this building. In the center is a secured parking lot that is gated and monitored.
The staff was all great. The room we had was nice, a bit worn but nice with a view of the river and Decatur St.
I stayed at 2 different hotels this trip and although this hotel was slightly worn it won in customer service! I paid more to stay at another hotel with the same style as this and the customer service was horrible. I am willing to over look the wrinkled curtains and older rugs when the customer service is great! They are helpful!
Our room was great. We had a bedroom and a living room. There was plenty of space. We loved being right in the French Quarter. Everything was in walking distance. The one day we went to the Garden District, the trolly was a very short walk away. I'd highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms were nice, staff was nice, workers were very noisy.
We had our car parked in there lot with a full tank of gas & when we left 3/28/24, we had no gas.
We were pretty sure one of the workers siphoned it.
Cameras are everywhere, but nobody seen it.
Will never be back.
We were also given 2 different prices. The one printed out was different than the one on the bank statement. Room 226
Thousands of better options for the price and what you don't get... Space, breakfast, microwave, TV and coffee pots that work, etc. Rooms are tiny!! and extremely overpriced. No microwave, on property or in rooms. TV didn't work. Coffee maker didn't work. All amenities should be evaluated before reserved. We were street side and the noise was loud all but 3 hours in the middle of the night. I watched a woman vomit at the bottom of the stairs on Friday night and walked by it, unchanged Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
3 different people were let into the brides room, by hotel staff, without contacting the bride. 3 different people at different times. Is safety and resident privacy not a thing?? WTH?
Too make it worse, after THEY let others into other residents rooms, they locked the bride out. She paid for her room, safety and privacy. Not her aparently.
Parking at $50/nt for hotel guests...foul!!
No way can I recommend this place to anyone, for a stay, wedding or banquet facilities and I'll never stay there again.
As for any thought of having a wedding here... Don't do it. Over priced, tiny rooms, no room for wedding parties to gather or prep. Honeymoon suite was not included in the venue rental price and extra $250...wth? We were already staying there, paid wedding venus fees yet no space for wedding party hair/ make up or all men to get dressed. We paid for the banquet room , bar and meals and after 10 drinks ( trying to get what we paid for)... Not even a buzz, AFTER we paid for open bar. WTH?? Ice House and Open bar guy that came with the purchase are brothers and stingy with it. This place should not advertise as a 'wedding venue'!! DURING, yes, during! the wedding, renters were not asked to take a different route so they walked right through the wedding party to get to their rooms. All 'upgrades' to include alcohol were robbery!
Consider yourself warned. Just don't do this for your special day or your guests!
We’ve hosted a writer’s retreat twice here and plan to rebook next year. They do a fantastic job with our event, the rooms and courtyards are charming and staff extremely friendly. Highly recommend!
Off the French Quarter but close enough to easily walk everywhere you need to go. We had a great stay. The room was clean and beautiful. The courtyard is adorable.
