It's not the most beautiful Établissement settlement, but the prices are decent and the benefit is pretty good. A pretty courtyard of bricks and plants nobody the hotel, with the rooms very classic. French Market Inn is very well located, just steps from Mississippi, shops and many restaurants.

It was easy and cheap to take the #47 street car to visit the Garden District. I also enjoyed a ferry ride across the river and back for $4.
It's a 20 minute safe walk to the National World War II Museum, which was my favorite site - I spent 6 hours there. I recommend nearby Peche restaurant for the best foodie meal I had the entire visit.
Beautiful churches nearby were another highlight. I walked to St Patrick's for Mass, and visited the beautiful Immaculate Conception Jesuit church.
Daisy Dukes diner has an early bird breakfast that was delicious. It's a 7 minute walk from the hotel. I also liked Ruby Slippers, but get there before 9:30 to avoid lines.
