For the amount paid ($310.00), I would have expected better. In my room (1123) upon arrival, there was a dirty sock on the floor and a used dirty towel hanging behind the bathroom door. The mattress needed to be replaced. The mattress was sunken in the middle and the foot of the bed was higher than the head. I had to use the pillows to prop my upper body up. Above my head there was a severe crack and bubbling in the ceiling (water damage) at anytime, I expected a chunk of the ceiling was going to fall on the bed. The corners is the bathroom floor had visible dirt and the wallpaper was peeling in several areas. The Hotel is in need of some TLC.

Location was great. Valet parking for $40.00 was worth every dime. Front Desk associates, security, and valet personnel were all awesome. They were all very kind and professional.

Love the hotel and staff

Judging by some of the reviews, I thought I made a mistake. But there was nothing wrong with this place, in my opinion. Whether you valet park with them or park somewhere else, you're paying $45 a night. It is downtown!
I was traveling through and wanted to stop in to at least say I've been to New Orleans. It's probably the cheapest cleanest hotel near Bourbon St. You're going to get.

We take our daughter on a trip every year for her birthday.. this year she chose NOLA!!.. When the hotel staff found out that it was her birthday week, they all treated her like royalty!!.. Yelling HAPPY BIRTHDAY!.. every time they saw her!!.. We absolutely loved the security, they were some great guys!!..

But I must admit.. Our favorite thing about this hotel, was STAFFORD!!.. The doorman!!.. He was so stinking cute, friendly, funny, and informative!! He was always there to welcome us back from a long day, with a smile, and a good chat!!.. I wish we could have had the chance to say goodbye to him!!.. KUDOS to this location for hiring him, and the security guys too!!.. Good employees, make an establishment go from just another hotel, to a recommended, and favorite home away from home!!.. We WILL be back!!!

The hotel is a large, older establishment on a side-street right off of Canal Street, a central thoroughfare in New Orleans. Valet parking is available. The room was in very good condition and the staff was attentive and helpful. There is an indoor pool next to the exercise room on the 10th floor, and a good seafood restaurant is right next door. Overall, the experience was quite enjoyable.

Rooms were great, and clean however the bath temperature couldn't go any higher than lukewarm.

The room was okay, we stayed on the 10th floor which seems to be right above their laundry facility so we heard washers or dryers which thankfully is not something that bothered us. The location was great! You’re one block from Bourbon and one block from Canal. Try Acme Oyster- get the boo fries- and Sucre for macaroons, both very close to here.

Probably the most central hotel in NOLA! Minutes to everything.

The rooms could have been a bit cleaner. The rooms also needed updating. I don't think 4 1/2 stars are accurate (but that's my opinion).

Just stayed here on April 4th for two nights. The best location in the French Quarter! Everything is within walking distance. Walgreens is right outside the front door as well as stores and restaurants. Guillerme checked us in and was so nice and welcoming. Calvin at the front door was very helpful. There was plenty of security and I felt safe the whole time . The ONLY con to this hotel was not having a fridge or microwave in the room (we wasted a lot of food) but I will definitely stay again.

Great location. Charge $40 to park and apparently taxes on that also. Cost me $96 for 2 nights of parking. There was a parking lot behind hotel that was a little cheaper. Was supposed to have king room, but was given 2 double. Very disappointing, but atleast I had a room. Talked to another guy and he had reserved 2 rooms and was given only one and nothing else available. Be careful of them over booking and you are screwed. We initially weren't compensated for the inconvenience, but we were eventually compensated with satisfactory outcome. Would definitely stay here again because it is in a great location and walking distance to get to most everything you need.

We had a great stay. The hotel was in a great location and the room was very clean. We loved that the room had a big window with a river view. My only complaint is that parking was very high and valet only. That being said the valets were all very helpful and retrieved our car very quickly. We walked almost everywhere we needed to go so it was convenient to have secure parking in the quarter and not have to worry about our car.

The rooms are starting to look pretty dated with obvious wear signs in the room and bathroom and the facility could use an update. While it's not terrible and they do decent job of cleaning it was a little disappointing. Price was fair and location is a little sketchy; it is right across the street from a little market that sells alcohol and has a Western Union inside of it which attracts a lot of undesirable people. I never felt threatened, but if you don't mind the constant presence of police to keep the area under control then the place is fine. I talked to a couple of officers which seemed to be staged at the front of the hotel about their presence and they replied that this area always has calls, it's a bad area.
The staff was nice and accomodating and they did fix the slow draining sink in the bathroom when we brought that up. Housekeeping is daily, but they skipped us on the second to last day. We had enough towels so it wasn't a big deal.

One washer and dryer for the whole hotel. No refrigerators or microwaves in the room. No continental breakfast. Save your money and stay somewhere else

I've always wanted to go to New Orleans and my family and I drove from Oklahoma to Destin, Florida and when we left we knew we were just a small detour away from New Orleans so we had one more night and a full day to spare before we had to get back, so we made the last minute decision and made the 4 hour drive to NOLA. We booked the hotel with the ONLY indoor pool and that's the entire reason I got this hotel so our kids could enjoy the pool (pictures are the view from the pool) It's a beautiful hotel and it's in the heart of the hustle and bustle of The French Quarter. The Bell Hop and the Valet Attendant were amazingly hospitable and very welcoming, but the 3 women at the front desk were the absolute opposite. The woman who is bald with the funky glasses was blaming us saying "you guys must of spent it last night and went out because your card is declining." First of all, I was trying to show her my online bank statement that showed that Wyndham took out $239 my proof. Girl with the glasses wouldn't even look at my phone so we could figure this out. They treated us like trash in front of our kids like we couldn't afford the one night stay and the whole thing gave my 8 year old daughter a panic attack because we had to call the police because they held our car with all of our stuff in it and we're demanding we pay again. I had enough for one night in New Orleans not two. I saw right when I booked the hotel through their site even that I got a notification that the money came out. These 3 women who worked behind the desk wouldn't even give us their names and weren't wearing name tags. We had to get the police involved and after that one of the front desk ladies apologized and said "she would just put the money back on my debit card" and my question was "well how are you going to put it back on my card if you're saying that we didn't pay yet and that we went out and partied with our elementary school kids, apparently?!" They finally admitted they made a mistake and apologized about the mess and that they are going to give us our money back(the money they said we didn't even pay and the bald lady wouldn't even look at the bank statement on my phone she told me to get my phone out of her face and that she doesn't care), the night was on them, and the lady said they would "eat" the stay, meaning they will just give us our money back and then there would have been a nicer review but they did do that and then I have stayed at Wyndhams before and I have never had any trouble... ever, nothing close to this. PLUS, We were slapped with an extra $50 parking fee that we couldn't say no to because parking is insane so you have no choice but to take their valet parking. I don't know I guess for a visitor who doesn't know how closely dense NOLA is and how bad parking is there, I feel like they should give you somewhat of a heads up because they never told me that they we're ALSO going to charge my card an extra $50 without telling me for parking AND then on top of that CHARGE YOUR CARD what is now triple the amount I paid. I now know why that was the cheapest deal in the French Quarter. I specifically had the amount of money for the hotel room and a little bit extra on the card I used to book the hotel. I do not have double or now triple the amount of one night. Don't worry, I will be on the phone with customer service right after I am done writing this truthful statement of how we we're treated in front of our 6 and 8 year old daughters that heard and saw everything and I had to walk away because my 8 year old daughter was so upset because they were making her worried that we wouldn't get her stuff back or our car. That was just uncalled for. Lady who doesn't have a name but has a big attitude, you really could of handled yourself with grace instead you ASSUMED I went out and partied all my money away but would look everywhere but my phone I was holding up because this chick knew she or one of them had messed up and just didn't want to admit it. Such a ridiculous situation.

Was beyond pleased and every staff member showed us nothing but hospitality and we highly recommend staying here

Rooms are really beat - furniture and décor are dated, bathrooms are really bad and hallways are very noisy all through the night. Fee per night is too high; paying strictly for location. Even charge tax on the $40 per night they charge you to park there. Indoor pool is warm but very cloudy due to excessive chlorine and the gym is the size of a large walk-in closet with minimal equipment. Really not worth the $315/night we paid. Would not return.

The location and the people here were wonderful, however we were in room 2029 which the bathroom door does not close. It's kinda lodged in. The landline did not work at all so i had to use my cell anytime i needed to call front desk. It's a pretty small room, had to take two elevators to get to room which can be a little inconvenient. You HAVE to do vallet which is 40 bucks a night. If you need to grab something quick from your car, like your charger or anything you may have left behind you have to take two elevators down have vallet bring your car to you, grab it, Tyan they'd take your car back. You weren't allowed to go to your car at all which would make this take a good while. I was hoping for a bigger nicer room with things that weren't broken as this is a nice looking hotel. It is a perfect location for frnch quarters. Walking distance to soo many different things. Indoor pool, and I believe gym as well.

Clean rooms and good housekeeping. There is no fan in bathroom so a shower makes the entire room humid. Good luck finding ice. It was like a scavenger hunt with us and other guests going from floor to floor trying to find some, then meeting up and telling each other which floors did and didn't have any. Valet parking only and it's pricey. It's noisy but I guess that's to be expected. I didn't expect to be able to hear people yelling on the street up on the 14th floor. Mr. Ed's restaurant is probably the best thing going for it.
