The rooms were a bit dingy with missing outlet covers and rust in the bathtub. My main frustration was trying to schedule a late checkout per my Hilton status. They didn’t even entertain this. Other hotels will give up until 1 or 2 pm. They wouldn’t budge on this and stated they would hold my luggage until it was time for me to leave at 3 pm. It would be nice to be able to freshen up a bit after walking around before getting on a plane home. I know Hyatt will bend over backwards to help out. Too bad Hilton doesn’t have the same customer service standards. I guess I know where I am taking my business in the future.

Shontria, the front desk attendant provided excellent service. However, the response to my room maintenance problem was very poor. It took three attempts to have someone in maintenance to repair the running leak in the bathroom sink. Water was running onto the floor from the leaking sink.

Amazing front desk staff.

Central location, walking distance to the Convention Centre and the complimentary happy hour drinks are awesome. Edit: I called the front desk to check on a package that was delivered after I checked out and your people just slammed the phone down. Your people are RUDE!

Tevin, Terrence the valets on the April 8th at the Embassy Suites are two very reliable Valets. Very responsive and likeable guys. You are lucky to have them employed.

Summary: disappointing. Staff were not willing to leave their front desk no matter what. Lots of little things that took away from the whole experience.
Full review:
We have stayed at predominately Hiltons for over the last 10 years. We especially love Embassy Suites. This property may break me of that.
First, if you like your Perks (water and what not) don't check-in online. Previously, if I checked in online I found my water or snacks in my room when I arrived, here the staff never leave the desk.
Housekeeping didn't replace all the towels in the room so we had to request more. Messaged the front desk and was told housekeeping had left for the evening so we had to come get them from the front desk. Go down there, and there were 3 staff standing around talking.
They gave us less than half the tickets for the managers reception and breakfast we needed. I spent more time up and down to the front desk than employees did.
This is the first trip that my kids didn't want to return to the pool. My daughter said she didn't think the chlorine levels were correct and the filter was past due for a cleaning. They also ran out of towels, but again that was left up to a guest to go get more (front desk was notified but a guest had to get them).
I contacted the front desk (as they request) for each issue and unless I can fix it myself they don't seem inclined to do anything about it.
We stayed for 6 nights. On day 5 we ran out of washclothes, shampoo, and conditioner. Let the front desk know and asked if they had any shampoo or conditioner we could use. She said she would let housekeeping know. Later that same evening we ran out of toilet paper, and apparently House Keeping hadn't restocked an extra of those either.
If you're a Diamond level member you should absolutely avoid this property. I heard multiple diamond member comment on missing benefits.
The Omelet station was awesome and delicious. Breakfast as a whole was pretty darn good.
The valets were nice and helpful, even though we didn't park a car. They came in to help the front desk when there was a line and were very responsive.

The Embassy suites is my favorite place to stay when in New Orleans. The staff is always friendly and you can always count on clean rooms and great food.

This was my worst experience ever with Hilton. I booked a room with 2 queen beds and got confirmation for that room, and then 3 days before my stay I was switched to a King room. I called the hotel multiple times and no solution was offered. This was a business trip where I was sharing a room with a senior colleague, which is why I booked a specific room type. I ended up having to sleep on a VERY uncomfortable pull out bed for 5 nights and ended up with debilitating back pain. Additionally, I did not receive my hilton gold benefits (water and snacks) and was generally treated terribly by the staff the entire trip. The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed, not trained, and not prepared to help their guests. I am very disappointed that Hilton would allow a property to operate like this and treat their loyalty customers so poorly. For almost 300$ a night, I expect more. The rooms are also outdated, smell funky and it took 10 or more minutes to get hot water.

My stay was great because of a great team from valet, front desk to housekepping. With grat employees like Edna's great smile and providing special attention making our 27th anniversary specia. And big thanks to Hilda who worked so hard keeping the dining area clean and stocked constantly. She made my wife and I feel important. Thanks guys for a memorable 27th anniversary!l

Shontria was absolutely amazing! Went to ask for trash bags and information and she was extremely kind. We need more smiling faces like that in the mornings. Her positivity definitely bounces on you. Shout out to you Shontria!

Stood for 4 nights, the staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Diane. She booked me a swamp tour and made sure everything was taken care of. Breakfast was delicious and it was nice to have that social hour with drink tickets and snacks.

The first floor facilities could use some attention, but give your reception staff a raise, especially your amazing concierge. Great location and breakfast in the morning.

After flying in, showed up to the hotel at 1a with a reservation and was told by the front desk that they were overbooked and did not have a room for me or many other travelers. After frantically searching for alternate accomodations in the area unsuccessfully, I re-approached the front desk and inquired again. This time, I was told that there was suddenly a room available for me (but not for all of the other travelers). This was a pretty stressful and confusing way to end a long travel day. Additionally, I asked for a digital receipt when I checked out, but I didn't receive it. Had to call back the hotel multiple times--either didn't pick up at all or simply hung up after picking up--before getting through to someone who actually answered. And still don't have it....

Great blackened gulf fish and chicken asparagus prepared and promptly delivered to our room by Shamari Brown. Fantastic meal, well served and presented. Both dishes were very tender, flavorful, and tender. Fantastic. - evan justin

Our room did not cool down over night. We left and went about our day this morning. When we got back to the room it was still warm. That’s when I reached out to the front desk stating our room was still warm. Within 12 minutes Pete shows up and gets our AC blowing cold again. Will definitely be reaching out for services again. Very polite and would listen to our concerns.

This is by far the worst Embassy Suites I have ever stayed at. We were there only briefly before leaving on a cruise. Our room had multiple problems - bathroom door handle was broken so you got stuck when you went in (we would knock so someone on the outside could open the door). The toilet flush button did not work at all on one side and was very difficult to press on the other. Then the bowl wouldn't fill with water. The people next to us were extremely loud late at night and early in the morning. I called the front desk to complain at 11:30 pm but it just rang. We finally used a white noise sound on my phone. For valet, I texted for my car. Got an automatic notice that they weren't accepting requests for cars. I went down and my car was parked on the street but it took me 25 min to get the keys. My niece left later in the morning and at that point the valet parkers gave up, put the keys out for people to grab, and let everyone go get their own car. I don't really blame the valet people - they need more workers. Horrible, weird hotel. Not worth it regardless of how close to the pier it is.

We would not stay here again. Although the room was pre paid six months in advance, they were not ready for us when we arrived. We took a three hour city tour, came back and they still didn’t have a room. We went to supper, came back and still no room. Getting close to 8:00 pm and after a long wait at the service desk, they offered us a different room that they called an up grade. If it was an upgrade, I am glad we didn’t get the room we had paid for! Breakfast was the one saving grace….

Amazing hotel! Highly recommend!
Service needs a lot of improvement - my sink was clogged and I had to ask 3 times for service n the plumber came about 3 hrs later. No shampoo in the container n that took all day to be replaced. No hot water at night for a shower n the pressure is really bad so you don't feel like you are getting a good shower.
Breakfast was excellent.
