THOSE SERVING in the U.S. MILITARY and FEDERAL WORKFORCE- Avoid This Property and that of Loft 523. The Hotel managers claim to not have reservations made by federal workers and those in uniform...using the required reservation system.

Loft 523 and International Hotel management are pretty antagonistic in saying (by telephone) that they do not have your reservation. They then demand you make a separate and personal reservation with them...voiding the federal and military confirmed reservation. The end result, they can get a higher nightly rate for their rooms, leave those serving in uniform and federal workers with no reservation on file as they stand there at the front desk...with no alternative to lodging.

The location is fantastic. Was here for Mardi Gras and was able to walk to all the parades and all the best restaurants.

The lobby is beautiful and the bar tender was very kind - drinks were very good.

The front staff was very kind and accommodating.

My only issue was the room. As you can see it’s a great city view. But the rooms were outdated and honestly felt very dirty.

It’s muggy and feels humid inside of the rooms and carpets seem like they need a deep clean.

Overall it was a good stay, but plan on small rooms that might not be the cleanest.
