You feel like you are staying with friends! Most of the staff knew us and greeted us by name and we were only there for 4 nights! Big thank you to Patrica, Andre, Rody, Andrew & Mark. Can not say enough about how great the staff was. The only bad exchange I had was when checking out. The lady at the front desk on Monday morning at 6am was so rude. She basically called my friend a liar and our cab driver lazy and unsafe to ride with because he only had one leg and couldn’t help us with the bags. This type of behavior is unacceptable. She does not know his story so to act like that left a bad impression. I loved everything and everyone else. Just really sad that she was the last person at the hotel we got to interact with after such an amazing weekend. Her discriminative behavior and comments towards the cab driver really did not sit well with me as I have a family member who is an amputee.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. I stayed here with 2 of my girlfriends for our annual girls trip- we reserved in November and stayed in February. From the time we got here, all of the staff were so friendly and nice and accommodating. Special shout out to Patrice, Rhoda, Andre, Andrew, and Mark - they all went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, helped us with cabs and appointments and tours. They put up with our shenanigans when we stumbled in late. The room was immaculate, we had a private balcony overlooking the courtyard, the shower got nice and hot quickly, and the AC unit worked like a champ. The location is great- it’s just off a side street from bourbon so it’s not as noisy as some other places, but it’s just a block from all the action.

Would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely stay again.

EDIT- everyone was great except the lady at check out We specifically asked her to not run the card on file because we wanted to split the charges. She ran it anyway and then had the audacity to tell me I never told her that, when in reality she was playing on her phone and not listening. She then berated the cabbie who picked us up for not assisting with luggage, when he had a prosthetic leg and physically couldn’t. Didn’t catch her name, but she is absolutely a detriment to the hotel. The cabbie has said he’d run into her and her attitude before.

‼️‼️‼️DONG BRING ANYTHING YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO GET STOLEN BY THE STAFF‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️, or keep anything in your car. Long story short Place d’Armes needs to pay their staff more. Me and my family stayed for two nights, and within those nights room service stole my Tiffany necklace, stored deep in my suitcase. Along with when we got our car back from ballet our whole car was out of place, and my daughter’s Apple headphones weren’t miraculously MISSING. Don’t expect the hotel to take any accountability, they will gas light and just tell you they were misplaced. ‼️‼️‼️

Location is perfect for walking around the French quarter and further. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The courtyard is beautiful. The rooms have been renovated nicely but the buildings are old and it shows, especially near the emergency exit doors.
