I want to start off by saying that the hospitality shown by Jabari and Eric really made our stay worth it. They were so happy, helpful with any questions we had, and just all around wonderful to interact with. I would recommend staying here just based on that.

As someone who loves hyatt as a brand, I'm very hesitant about leaving this review.
Pros:
1. The bar cocktails were really great and the staff really nice. The bar/restaurant vibe is super cute.
2. The food was also really great especially the Poboy and the Loaded fries.
3. Location was pretty close to everything.
Cons:
1. I am having difficulty processing what I paid for and my experience at this Hyatt. My stay was truly sub standard.
2. We spoke to the front desk about the noise from the street, they offered for us to move, which we didn't as we already settled in. In hindsight I should have moved as the noise was at a level where you would think we had no windows.
3. The shower kept leaking and making a pool of water on the floor.
4. The toilet got clogged and after fixing the bowl was left in a disaster for the rest of the stay. (see attached)
5. The shower was never cleaned properly and had mold (see attached)
6. Upon checking out, apparently only the noise complaint was recorded in the system after I explained the details to someone at the front the evening of 4/1. She said we will chat with the Housekeeping Manager in the morning, that never happened.
7. The person who handled the checkout said she was refunding us one night stay. The refund didn't reflect such. (Update 2/9: Without any communication thr amount which was refunded was reversed to my surprise upon checking my account, supposedly as it was refunded to the wrong card. I only found this out after calling in to query. I'll see if it returns to the right card)
All this to say, will I stay again, No.

Went there for an event and wound up partying in a room with several people. The staff are very attentive and want to try and help you any way they can. The quality of the food presented at the event was on par with any fine restaurant!

The Hyatt Centric French Quarter was decorated very nicely and we thoroughly enjoyed the coffee shop, restaurant and bar. It was wonderful that fresh water was provided throughout the day in the comfortable and inviting lobby. The hotel staff were all friendly and accommodating.
However, we were placed in a room facing Iberville Street and were completely astounded that any guest would be booked into a room on such an indescribably loud street.
We were fully prepared to have loud nights staying in the French Quarter, but the noise coming off of the street was absolutely awful. I described it as trying to sleep in the middle of the dance floor at the loudest club you’ve ever been to. My husband described it as trying to sleep in the middle of a war zone. The rattling of the windows and shaking of the entire room was horrible. I have a brain tumor and am easily susceptible to migraines. The noise from the music base not only set off unimaginable migraines, but made me sick to my stomach because it was inescapable. We were beyond shocked that any guest, let alone Hyatt members and World of Hyatt credit card holders; people who have chosen to be loyal to one hotel brand, would be booked into such a terrible room.
After our second night, we debated whether or not to ask about changing rooms, but we decided we would tough it out as we only had one night left and are ultimately not ones to complain. On our last night we had to wake up at 3:00am to catch a 6:00am flight. Unfortunately, it was on a Saturday night which was the loudest that we experienced. We didn’t get even 30 seconds of sleep because the level of noise was unfathomable. I even took the couch pillows and placed them on the bathroom floor, just so I could have somewhere to lay down away from the rattling window facing the street. As you can imagine, not getting any sleep made for a horribly exhausting day of travel.
My thought is that no Hyatt employee has ever slept in or even stepped foot inside of this room at night or they would never place a guest here.
I have visited New Orleans in the past and stayed on Saint Ann Street, even more in the heart of the French Quarter, and never experienced even a tenth of the noise we experienced at the Hyatt.
I have two family members who consistently hold Globalist status each year and have pleaded that they never stay the Hyatt Centric French Quarter because of what we experienced.
We have had positive experiences at many other Hyatt and Hyatt partner hotels, however I’m deeply saddened and disappointed to have had this experience. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration when placing guests into this room or any room along Iberville Street in the future.

LOCATION is amazing. Located at the top of Burbon Street, this place is in the thick of it. While we chose a room with a balcony overlooking Burbon Street, you ca opt for a more quiet area of the hotel if you wish (a room that faces a side street instead of Burbon).
Nice, functional lobby with decent bar. Good service, amazing location with a nice vibe. Older hotel, but still one of the best spots to stay while visiting the French Quarter.

Really nice hotel. Great location being right in the French Quarter and right next to Bourbon Street. I would definitely stay here again if I ever go back to New Orleans!

Cute hotel near Canal St. We vacationed here with friends and were pleased with the room, though they are a bit dated. We had a room facing Iberville. No something I would recommend if you like peace and quiet, but we were okay with it. The hotel offers a complimentary drink at bar from a set list of drinks. This is where I docked a star due to the bartender from Montenegro. He was rude and cutting and spent most of a time at the bar complaining about guests. He said “we” were stupid. Not cool. He rolled his eyes and made several snide remarks. I understand that we all have bad days but 3 days in a row seems like a character trait.

The rooms are a little dated, given the uneven floors and the tub has a stain or permanint marking. I would lobby is a 10 out of 10 I wish the rooms reflected that.

This is a great place to stay. The hotel is clean and the staff is courteous and helpful. The restaurant staff are awesome too! Right on the French Quarter- will stay here again!

This hotel is in a pretty great location if you want to be in the French Quarter. Right in middle of the action and close to the street car. The lobby is really very nice, it has a great bar and super friendly staff throughout the hotel. We got a lovely welcome bottle of wine too! The room itself was just ok. We used a suite upgrade certificate, but while the room was big, it was more of an oversized room than anything else. Barely any daylight and the lighting in the room was sparse too) , incredibly noisy throughout the night from people in the hallways and above us. Coffee maker on the nightstand (this was a big big room, so that was strange) Outlets by the beds only worked partially and were so close that there was no room for a charger. (No, it wasn't possible to move the beds). Very few outlets in convenient spots that worked. No desk, and the TV wouldn't let you use streaming apps or cast apps from a mobile device. The internet was also very spotty. We did ask to be moved to a quieter room on higher floor (we were there for 6 nights), but they didn't have anything available. We did have a great time in New orleans and would stay again, but we would definitely ask for a quieter spot on a high floor. The staff was lovely!

Jabari was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, always helpful. He's the best thing about your hotel!! Rebecca the bartender was darling. Always refreshing to see her when we would come back to the hotel. Kevin was personable and helpful as well. We will be back. Loved our room & the front desk staff was there with a smile. Thanks for being pet friendly!

Giving it a 5 only because 4.5 is not available.
Pluses: The hotel food is excellent. They won't win a Michelin star any time soon but it's surprisingly good (and not outrageously expensive). The staff is friendly and clearly take pride in what they do. Someone hired and trained them right. Rooms are spacious (love the high ceiling). Conference facilities were very good.
Negatives: Too close to Bourbon street. This hotel is VERY LOUD. Make sure you are not on that side or you will not sleep until 3am every night.

Great hotel. Sure, can get noisy because close to Bourbon St, but that's expected. Great service and good food too

Bath Tub at room 350 is rusty. Carpets are very dirty and not vacuumed at all. Front office staff has an attitude. I was given 4 welcome drink vouchers due to stay with party of 4. I presented at the bar and order 2 starters and 4 cocktails. Server brings the bill and I can see they charge for all the drinks. I asked, what happened to my vouchers. Server tells me they are only for soda and beer. Asked him why he has not told us before? He said it was front offices responsibility to explain. I go to front office lady gives me an attitude and telling me I need to go back to the bar to file a complaint. Long story short I ended up paying $80 extra for supposed to be free drinks. W Hotel, Ritz Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, AC Marriot and Westin are much better places and cleaner. This hotel is not quiet at all by the way.

The hotel is located in a central location, but the service was downright awful. The checking-in process was terrible as the rep behind the counter couldn’t even acknowledge my family and brush us off when we had questions. Our room had a shower faucet problem with low water pressure and it took the two days to fix.

Not a hotel that I would recommend. The reception staff are not very helpful or friendly. We had to wait 4.5 hours for our room to be ready as we didn't want to pay 50 dollars to check in early for a room that was ready. They also charged us for the accommodation despite it already being paid for by our travel agents so we have now been charged twice. I was told by reception that the bill would be refunded but we got charged so not very honest either. We now have to wait for our travel agents to sort this out. Being a pensioner it's not ideal to pay for something twice. Just hope the Manager is going to be helpful in sorting this out.

Meeting room partitions are not sound proof.
Staff is friendly.

If the French Quarters is where you're hoping to stay, this is a great spot. You're steps away from Bourbon St, and very close to anywhere in French Quarters, and a short distance walk to the boardwalk and the central business district. The staff were all super friendly, Tracy (I believe her name was) at the front desk was super helpful and nice. The rooms were comfortable and the valet staff were great too. Definitely would recommend this hotel if you're hoping to stay in the French Quarters!

So I have a few things to say about this spot. The location is great it's a block from canal street. This hotel doesn't have a microwave.... WHAT! they dont have a fridge but what good is that ????. Then the fitness center bathroom that's on a separate floor doesn't open until 7 am but the gym is 24 hrs. Considering what's going on why are the room garbage cans so small (side note). The service was great but I guess their hands were tied.
Hotel was clean and bed comfortable, staff are very friendly and decor is beautiful. Highly recommend.
