Based in New Orleans since 1979, this self-taught artist is one of the most influential painters in the city. His style is easily recognizable and his works pay homage to the architecture of the city but also to its music, without forgetting the natural landscapes which were his first inspirations for the brush. James Michalopoulos is also involved in his community and has started all sorts of projects, from the Celebration distillery to the NoRo artist studios. It's hard to find a more authentic souvenir than one of his paintings!
