Built in 1891 by German architect Dietrich Einsiedel for the Jackson Brewing Company, the building housed the largest independent brewery in the South. The only brewery to survive Prohibition, it was in operation for over 80 years. Today, the brewery is no more and has given way to a dozen boutiques including H&M, Urban Outfitters and Vans. A tax rebate voucher is available at each of these boutiques. Also on site: four restaurants, including the unmissable Cafe Beignet.
