Located just behind St. Louis Cathedral, Russell Desmond's bookstore is "organized chaos" in his own words. Fluent in French, he can advise you on what to do in the French Quarter. His tiny store is overflowing with used books - literally from floor to ceiling - and has many French books. He will also be happy to receive the French book you won't want to carry around in your suitcase. A reference in the field for over 40 years!
