HARRAH’S NEW ORLEANS

The largest casino in the metropolitan area is located not far from the banks of the Mississippi. And it took a long time to come to life, as the company went bankrupt before construction was completed. The city and state didn't want to continue to have this derelict building in the middle of downtown, so they struck a deal with Harrah's, the company responsible for many other casinos across the country. Even if you don't gamble, check out the decor. The Blaine Kern family, owners of Mardi Gras World, did the huge statues and almost all the decor.
