Opened in 1994 by the late R&B singer Ernie K-Doe and then called Mother-in-Law Lounge, the venue is now under the stewardship of New Orleans musician Kermit Ruffins and reopened in 2014. In addition to frequently seeing your host on stage, the lounge presents live entertainment virtually every night. You'll also want to try the cuisine prepared on site or by local chefs (plus a barbecue in the courtyard). Mention should also be made of the frescoes covering the building.
