In the evening, if you're determined to stay up all night and experience the New Orleans vibe like the locals, Vaughan's Lounge (pronounced "Vonz") is where you'll end your evening (or at least visit the many other bars in the area before ending up here, as we did). Famous musicians often jam here, and the place is always packed. During the Jazz & Heritage Festival, Harry Connick Jr. often sits at the piano. A great place to spend an evening!
