Friends of the Cabildo is a non-profit organization working in conjunction with the Louisiana State Museum. Among other things, its volunteers offer a guided walking tour of the French Quarter, focusing on architecture, folklore and historical facts. Although reservations are not required, it is recommended that you purchase your ticket online or at the store to ensure a spot. Thematic tours are also offered at certain times of the year (jazz history, tours of Creole neighborhoods, etc.).
