GALLIER HALL
Gallier Hall is a historic building located on Saint-Charles Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana. Formerly the city's town hall, it continues to be used by the municipality. Built in 1853 in the Greek Revival style, it was designed by architect James Gallier. With a surface area of 2,024 m², Gallier Hall is a place steeped in history that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Today, Gallier Hall is a unique reception venue that reflects the culture and history of New Orleans. It features renovated antique furnishings, moldings and historically accurate lighting, such as beautiful, elaborate chandeliers. Recent renovations have restored rooms with meticulously restored antique furnishings and portraits, while integrating modern sound systems and kitchens to meet the demands of today's dining scene. It is also open to the public for special tours on selected occasions.
