JACKSON BARRACKS
A military complex on the outskirts of the city of Arabi with several aircraft, armor and artillery displays.
Located at the edge of the city of Arabi, this military complex tells the story of Louisiana's civilian soldiers, from colonial times through the Louisiana Purchase and the Cold War to the present day. Still an active military base, it is the headquarters of the Louisiana National Guard. Several exhibits are presented, including the Battle of New Orleans, World War II and the women of the Louisiana National Guard, as well as the outdoor portion with its planes, tanks and artillery.
