A true childhood dream! Hines'Carousel was the first park in the park and the only one in Louisiana since 1906. After being restored in the 1980 s, it reopened to the public in 1988. The 44 animals carved by Looff and Carmel and its system are classified as National Register of Historic Places. After the hurricane, the park underwent extensive repairs and restorations, but the 26 wooden rides are again open to turn the heads.
