Company proposing a visit to discover the workshops of manufacture of the floats of the city.

Visit the creative workshops of the city's largest carnival float manufacturing company. Almost all Mardi Gras floats are built by this company since 1947. The visit allows you to discover the warehouses where some of the oldest pieces are stored, to follow the history and the manufacture of the floats. The dozens and dozens of colorful figurines on display will give you an idea of what Mardi Gras madness is like for the locals. Note that a free shuttle service is offered to get there.

C'est un immense hangar avec tous les chars et les décorations des carnavals passés et à venir. Génial!

What an amazing experience! We have a much better appreciation of the work. It takes to get these floats to bring so much joy in the Mardi Gras parades. We did not realize all the other areas that this studio reaches. How they contribute to many theme parks and even the Academy Awards. The tour guide was fun and very informative. All the colors and props were a treat for the eyes. They even gave us samples of king cake. Great photo opportunities and great memories made. A great way to round out the New Orleans experience we definitely recommend. Especially That they have a shuttle that picks you up from most locations near the French Quarter. We are coming back!

This place is cool to see if you like art or sculpting. There is a 15 minute video at the beginning yhat goes over the history of parades & some of the Krews. The viewing room charis are very dudty & dirty. We did enjoy the piece of king cake. Be mindful that this is not a museum. It literally is a working warehouse. It is very dirty and the pieces out to view are dusty with cobbwebs. If you have asthma or other breathing issues, this might not be for you as there is a strong mildew odor in the place. Also keep in mind that there is no parking anywhere close. The best option is to use their ahuttle.
