Large colonial-style house with eight rooms and two suites, which operates as a B&B

This large colonial-style mansion has eight rooms and two suites, which function as a B&B. Don't be fooled, there's nothing historic about these walls: they're all the work of Arlin Dease, an enthusiast for history, old stones and, above all, very good with his hands. It was he who restored the Nottoway and Myrtles plantations, before building Hemingbough. Both suites have private entrances, as well as access to the porch furnished with rocking chairs, so you can enjoy the Louisiana ambiance. A beautiful address in a relaxing setting.

Went with a group of ladies for an advance. The grounds are gorgeous. Beautiful peacocks every where. The people working are wonderful. So relaxing and a great place to sit with the Lord.

We took a detour from New Orleans back home to Laredo, Texas and I was glad I did. Everything was peaceful and beautiful. I wish I could show up for one of their weekend events. I think I will be back one day in their lovely town.

Wonderful Easter Sunrise Service! I will take a blanket next time because it was freezing.

Didn't actually stay there ,went to look at one of the cottages and it was a complete mess. One of the other cottages may have been nicer but when I asked to see it she told me that she didn't know which one was open. The staff seem to be really nice though.
