This church, like many others in a long history. At the time of Romanesque art, in the th century, the church Notre-Dame-du-Chambon was rejuvenated. What remains today (a Latin cross with a single nave of three spans) allows to represent it as it was to be at the time. The arms of the cross were formed by a cross-cutting vessel: the transept, which crosses on each side on the width of the nave. Four columns testify to its past existence. The central part of the transept should certainly be extended to the east by a bedside, fully preserved. Its semicircular route consisted of five cut parts where the altar was located. In 1680, the Bishop of Velay baiame a restoration: Our Lady-du-Chambon lost in length and was cut off from two spans. The parish cemetery disappeared before 1910 and a new building was annexed in 1953 to the old church in the form of a perpendicular nave. In harmony with the old church, it has fully integrated into the landscape: hauteur, roofing covers, baies and portes doors.
