A memorial space with numerous testimonials. The Jardin de la Mémoire features a sculpture by artist Paul-Armand Gette
During the Second World War, Le Chambon-sur-Lignon and the surrounding villages were a land of welcome and shelter for those fleeing persecution. Among the refugees, there were many Jews, as shown by the commemorative plaque in the heart of the village. A permanent exhibition recounts the history of the Plateau during the Second World War, while a memorial area includes numerous testimonies. To the north of the buildings, a garden of memory has been created in an enclosed space that is an integral part of the site.
