ROUBIEU-JONES HOUSE
This house, which has undergone many changes in Natchez, has lost none of the features that make it a typical Creole-style dwelling
Also known as Reform Plantation and Carroll Jones House, this West Indian-style Creole house was built around 1818, probably by Francois Roubieu, who is assumed to be the original owner of the farmland surrounding the house. John Carroll Jones, an African American from Tennessee, became the owner in the late 19th century. Despite all the changes made to the house over the years, it has lost none of the characteristics that make it a typical Creole-style home.
