LIBERTY CABLE
One of the last viaducts built in stone at 87 meters above the water level, used for bungee jumping.
Laurent Eynac, who was Minister of the Air Force in 1925, was responsible for the construction of this structure on the Le Puy - Lalevade-d'Ardèche railroad line, which was unfortunately never put into service. The original aim of the line was to promote economic development in both the Ardèche and Haute-Loire regions. The Recoumène viaduct, one of the last viaducts to be built of stone, rises 87 metres above water level and is currently used for bungee jumping.
