LES PORTRAITS DU VELAY
In the heart of the old town, this boutique allows you to watch a fuseau lace demonstration from April to September. The diamond placed on your knees, the fingers of the girl spun the fuseaux at an astonishing look, moulding unique and traditional pieces according to a drawing set to the wheel of diamonds. The shop offers a wide selection of lace-up - fuss, table paths, friezes or more modern patterns in colour… - which can satisfy all budgets - prices range from € 3 to € 139! But beware, novice can confuse this ancestral practice with mechanical, imported and standardized lace. In the Rue des Tables, you will find the same type of shops across the road as well as an old mechanical lace model.
