VOIE RÉGORDANE
The Régordane route connects Puy-en-Velay in Saint-Gilles-du-Gard with Velay, Gevaudan, Cevennes and the Country of Nîmes (Haute-Loire, Ardèche, Lozere and Gard) over 242 km. This path, which traces traces from the Gallo-Roman period, was a very busy trade route, connected to the Mediterranean (Saint-Gilles-du-Gard was then a port) inside the land. Now the GR 700, it is frequented by many hikers looking for nature and beautiful landscapes. The name of the track refers to part of the itinerary (the most difficult), between Luke and Alès. The Chassezac Gorges and the village of La Garde-Guérin are among the most beautiful stages of the Régordane road.
