THE GENERAL HOSPITAL
The General Hospital came to supplement the hotel-dieu after 1687 in order to welcome poor and beggars. The current constructions date from the eighteenth century. Opposite the rue de Becdelièvre, you can see the chapel Saint-Alexis, built in 1752 by Portal. Today, almost all buildings, built on terraces in successive terraces, were invested by the General Council of Upper Loire, which carried out a monumental restructuring. The Department of the Department also houses an art gallery (Jean-Claude Simon Gallery) free and open to all, where exhibitions change regularly. An incursion into the building that will allow you to appreciate the enormous restoration work done.
