Workshop National Conservatory of Lace of Puy-en-Velay housing a national conservatory of music and fine arts.
Created in 1976, the Atelier Conservatoire National aims to maintain the techniques of bobbin lace. The lacemakers perpetuate the traditional know-how by making high quality pieces on models of world famous contemporary artists: tablecloths, napkins, doilies, sheets, handkerchiefs... Pieces presented to the public during exhibitions. The workshop has also made knee prostheses in polyethylene fibre used in reconstructive surgery.
