Opened in 2012, the memorial, located on the left bank, is a bit off-center, on a small street a little past Rīga Beach. Zanis Lipke and his family saved 54 Jews from the German army. This memorial - built in the courtyard right next to their family home - honors them and recalls that moment in their lives. But more broadly, the memorial also pays tribute to all those who risked their lives to save Jews. It is a fascinating visit for anyone in the area who wants to make a historical visit
