About 2 km from Rundale, this magnificent palace was built at the end of the 18th century for Charlotte von Lieven, the governess of the grandchildren of Catherine II of Russia. Restored in 2001, it is now a high-class hotel-restaurant. The rooms are very spacious and decorated with antique furniture and aristocratic collectors' items. The plus: the large landscaped park all around, on the banks of the river, ideal for walks. In every season of the year, the place is superb. An absolutely unique address.
