OFFICE DU TOURISME
Daugavpils is famous for its pedestrian Rīgas Street, which links the railway station to the Daugava River. Around half a kilometer long, this lively street offers plenty of shopping and dining opportunities. Visitors can also admire the beautiful facades of the buildings, including the one at number 61, built in 1860 and representing a remarkable example of eclecticism. Opposite the number 1 post office is a pond turtle sculpture and the only Latvian sculpture dedicated to Latgale pottery. At the end of the street, opposite the station, there are waterfalls. Rīgas Street is therefore a must for visitors to Daugavpils.
