Nestled in the Alagnon valley at the foot of the Léotoing castle, the Moulin du Bateau is a haven of peace and nature surrounded by tall trees and adjacent to the river. Restored with taste and simplicity, the guest rooms and the two cottages offer beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped and cosy spaces. Ibe is a warm, present and attentive host. The local products and the vegetables from the garden that the whole family takes care of in the magnificent permaculture garden, are to be discovered. Le Petit Futé had a big crush!

Aux sites incontournables que nous connaissions déjà dans cette belle région auvergnate, s’ajoute désormais le Moulin du bateau. Un lieu d’exception pour de multiples raisons : son cadre naturel au bord de la rivière l’Alagnon, son architecture typique, son intérieur réconfortant en cette période hivernale… et évidemment cet accueil chaleureux proposé par son propriétaire.
Notre séjour, trop court, méritera d’être renouvelé !

Quelle belle découverte ce weekend : se sentir ailleurs, loin de chez soi à seulement quelques kms: de belles balades,des paysages incroyables et un accueil des plus chaleureux : c'est simple: on se sent comme à la maison dans ce jolie cocon☺️

Wunderschönes Haus mit tollem Ambiente innen und außen. Sehr herzlicher, hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Gerne hätten wir mehr als eine Nacht hier verbracht. Fahrräder konnten gut untergebracht werden, Geschirr für ein kaltes Abendbrot ist reichlich vorhanden, selber kochen geht zwar nicht, aber normalerweise wird auch ein warmes Abendessen angeboten.
Und nach einer langen Fahrt war ein kaltes Bier im Garten beim Fluss einfach top!

We spent 3 nights here and much enjoyed exploring the locality, with some good suggestions for activities and excellent restaurant recommendations made by Ibre, the host. He and his family were very welcoming and his hospitality was much appreciated. Breakfasts were great, and included produce from the garden (the freshly picked peaches were amongst the nicest I have ever tasted!). Meals around the table were relaxed, friendly and very enjoyable.
