It is the highest building in Lithuania (326 m). On 13 January 1991, the tower was stormed by Soviet troops, who killed fourteen demonstrators. Today, wooden crosses at the foot of the tower honour the memory of these victims of independence. At the top of the tower, the revolving restaurant Paukščių Takas (Milky Way) offers a beautiful view of Vilnius. In December, 6,000 electric garlands decorate the building, which becomes the largest Christmas tree in the world.

La tour est située dans la banlieue mais est relativement facile d'accès en transport en commun. Le panorama permet de se faire une idée correcte des différents quartiers de la capitale. Le restaurant est positionné dans Le haut de gamme mais les prix sont raisonnables.

Vue impressionnante sur la capitale et ses environs. Permet de se rendre compte de la taille de l'agglomération. Accès et consommation peut être un peu cher mais panorama qui vaut le détour.
