The first Jewish museum was opened in Vilnius in 1913, but closed during the Soviet era. It reopened in 1989 and comprises three branches. The Holocaust exhibition focuses on Jewish historical, material and spiritual heritage, including traditional and contemporary Jewish art, documents and artifacts.
The other two branches are the Samuel Bak Museum (Naugarduko 10/2) and the Paneriai Memorial (Agrastų g. 15, 15 km southwest of Vilnius).
