In 2009, on the anniversary of the millennium when Lithuania's name was first mentioned, the Grand Duke's Palace was rebuilt at the foot of the Gediminas castle hill, after 7 years of major construction work. Today, you can discover the ruins of the former sites, works of art and the great hall, which bears witness to successive architectural styles: Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. Numerous events are held here on a regular basis.
