Located at the northern entrance to Užupis, this square is marked by a mandala, the Tibetan flag and Buddhist prayer flags. It was inaugurated in 2010 on the initiative of Vilnius Tibet House, not least because the Dalai Lama was one of the first heads of state to recognize Lithuania's independence in 1990. In 2013, the Dalai Lama visited the Tibet Square. In 2017, the square received its official plaque.
