Located about 35 km from the capital, this cultural reserve is part of the Unesco heritage. The museum reopened in June 2012. It exhibits some of the many objects unearthed during the first excavations at the site. It also traces the history of Kernavė and, more broadly, more than 10,000 years of settlement history in the region, from the Stone Age to the end of the 14th century. The site covers almost 195 ha.
