To reach the Neringa peninsula by car, ferries depart from the new harbor (south of the city center; follow the "Neringa" sign), about every 20 minutes in summer and every hour in winter, connecting Klaipėda to Smiltynė. The crossing takes 10 to 15 minutes. On the return journey, however, especially on Sunday evenings in summer, you can expect to queue for the ferry back to Klaipėda.
