This museum traces the history of the region: archaeology, ethnography, fauna and geology. Many stuffed animals can be admired, including the bear, symbol of the region. The panorama from the top of the terrace is quite spectacular, with the exception of the Soviet bars opposite. Exhibitions on Samogitian agriculture, the art and culture of Lithuania Minor, postage stamps and graphic art during the war years are regularly on show.
