TOWN HALL
Built in 1965, this building houses a theater as well as the tall clock tower of City Hall, which dominates the city.
At the heart of the Piazza stands the tall clock tower of the City Hall, which dominates the city. Built in 1965 by Italian architect Arturo Mezzedimi, this three-pointed star-shaped building houses a theater. At its foot is the immense Avenue Churchill, on which the Lycée Franco-Ethiopien is located and which plunges down to the railway station, whose architecture is well worth a look. To the west, Patriarch Petros Square houses the statue of this martyred bishop, who was shot in cold blood for refusing to obey the Italian occupiers.
