Commemorative museum retracing the dark communist years of the Derg. It is dedicated to the 750,000 victims of the totalitarian regime of former president Mengistu, a colonel who reigned from 1974 to 1991, notably the wave of "red terror" in 1977 and 1978. At the entrance, a bronze statue of three weeping women has been erected to symbolize the victims. Exhibitions of black-and-white photos, instruments of torture and shocking images of this bloody repression.
