Less frequented, wild hot springs where you can bathe in sugarcane fields or natural pools.
Less frequented and wilder than the shores of the crater lakes, the Garagadi hot springs, 14 km from Nazreth and not far from the village of Wanji, offer the chance to bathe in warm, bilharzia-free water. It's a not-to-be-missed swim in the middle of sugarcane fields, in one of the many natural pools fed by hot springs. Nearby, you can see the Awash River and the crocodiles that bask there.
