This ashlar building is an Italian colonial construction that was originally intended as a school in the center of the university town of Ambo. The large common rooms and some of the bedrooms have retained a certain charm. Only the best rooms, with their parquet floors and old-fashioned furnishings, are worth a stay here, with an en-suite bathroom. Others are even more rustic, with shared bathrooms. The hotel has a good restaurant, which is handy in the evening after a day's walking.
