Located in one of Auckland's oldest residential areas (Parnell), City Garden Lodge lives up to its name: a place that feels like it's outside the city, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. This youth hostel is housed in an elegant historic house, formerly owned by the Queen of Tonga. It has a large garden, barbecue and fully equipped kitchen. Here wifi is free and unlimited. Ten minutes' walk from here is the Vector Arena, where you can catch a Maori concert.
