This is probably the best pub in Auckland, between Mount Eden and the CBD. The decor, the carpeting, the woodwork: everything smacks of Her Majesty's kingdom, with black-and-white pictures and photos, mirrors and a pretty counter. The large, high-ceilinged room is the haunt of many a beer lover, drawn by the fine products brewed on site, whose vats can be seen on the way to the toilet. For over 30 years, the beer garden has been a delight.
