This 17-hectare zoo is the animal park with the largest number of endemic animals in New Zealand. More than 750 animals are present, from more than 120 different species. There are rhinos, kiwis, lemurs, chimpanzees, elephants and many more. In 2009, a female Sumatran tiger gave birth to three cubs, an exemplary fact considering the small population of this species in the world, but also because of its captivity. A thematic program takes place every day.

Zoo très sympa où l'on peut apercevoir le fameux kiwi qui est très dur voir impossible à voir dans la nature.

Un zoo très joli aux portes de la ville. Vous pourrez apercevoir le kiwi, tellement difficile à voir dans la nature ! Je recommande cette visite en famille.

C'est une superbe visite. Il y a la possibilité de donner à manger à certains animaux (notamment les girafes), ce qui est impressionnant et ludique. Il y a également des spectacles où les animateurs expliquent la vie des animaux et comment les protéger et respecter.
