This Romanesque building dating from the and centuries is dedicated to Saint Peter.
At the origin of the building, the church of Saint-Pierre de Monistrol-d'Allier, a sanctuary dedicated to Saint Peter erected at the confluence of the Ance and Allier rivers, attests to the early Christianization of the region - 6th century. Over the centuries and in view of the increase in conversions, the building evolved. A baptistery was added to it, then a sanctuary. From this religious past remains today the Romanesque building of the 12th and 13th centuries dedicated to Saint Peter. The stone cross on the church's chevet (a listed cross from the 15th century) should not be missed either.
