This church built in 1842 was part of one of the most important Catholic missions in the Western Pacific. It was here that religious texts were translated and books printed in Maori for the local population. The guided tour details the history of the French who were expatriated here. The surrounding gardens offer beautiful views of the Bay of Islands. Guided tours at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm. French Coffee House Café open from 9am to 3pm.
