Since the 1960s, Rapaura Water Gardens has been a stopover for garden lovers, north of the Thames on the way to Coromandel Town. The site offers no less than fourteen splendid ponds, unspoilt bush, beautiful waterfalls, exotic flowers and many other wonderful things, such as sculpture. It's possible to eat here and even to stay in a lodge or cottage. Sally Sank has taken over from Fritz and Joséphine. For them, " the best garden is a well-tended wilderness ".
