For guaranteed thrills, the more courageous can call on Tauranga Tandem Skydiving to admire the Bay of Plenty from the sky. As you descend, you'll be able to admire White Island, the beaches of the Coromandel Peninsula in the distance, and even Mount Ruapehu. The drop lasts between 40 seconds and over a minute, with a choice of a 3,600 m or 4,500 m jump. Photo and video packages are available, for a supplement of around a hundred dollars.
